- A primary goal of the Authority is to provide affordable housing for
the citizens of Hampton. Additional services include the Single Family Homeownership
Program, homebuyer assistance, public housing, Section 8, housing for the homeless, and
congregate housing.

The Authority is actively involved in redevelopment activities
throughout the city. Projects include single family home developments; neighborhood stabilization;
assistance with home rehabilitation; and modernization of public housing.
Grant funds and low-interest loans are available to improve low-to-moderate income
homes in Hampton and make them safer and more accessible.

Our homeownership programs help to revitalize and stabilize Hampton neighborhoods and
promote homeownership to lower income families and public safety employees.
