  • SHELL HOMES
    The Authority built a number of new homes at the intersection of Shell and Celey.

  • CROWNE POINTE
    The Authority continues with development of
    Crowne Pointe, a planned community of 100 single family homes ranging in
    price from $135,000 to $145,000.  Ten houses have been built and sold by
    developers.  Models are under construction.  Crowne Pointe is located off
    Kecoughtan Road, at Ivy Home Road.  Anyone interested in purchasing a home

  • NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION
    The Authority has acquired 243 properties to date and has demolished 89 structures; 10 have been scheduled for demolition.  HRHA currently owns 128 sub-standard lots and 80 standard lots.  HRHA markets sub-standard lots to adjacent property owners and standard lots for residential construction.
  • 811 WEST PEMBROKE AVENUE
    HUD approved the demoltition of Pine Chapel Village, which housed the Authority's maintenance facility.  The Authority purchased 811 West Pembroke Avenue and entered into an agreement with Forrest Coile Assoc. for design work to rehabilitate the existing structure into a new maintenance facility.
     
  • 1 SOUTH ARMISTEAD AVENUE
    The Authority purchased a vacant former First Union bank building to renovate and house staff currently located at 19 East Mellen Street.  Completion is scheduled for summer of 2000.
