NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS:

The Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority (HRHA) will only be accepting Sealed Bids at the Construction Office located at 811 West Pembroke, Hampton, VA 23669 for the time specified below for the following: 

[New!]HRHA 07-004  Langley Village Interior Paint Project 

PRE BID:          August 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m.-Project Site, 100 Langley Avenue, Hampton  

BID DUE:          September 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. – 811 West Pembroke, Hampton                     

Proposed forms of contract documents, including specifications, are on file and may be obtained by contacting the Construction Office at 811 West Pembroke Avenue, Hampton, VA, or calling (757) 727-1521 Ext. 309. The plans and specifications may be examined at the Builder’s Exchange in Norfolk, Peninsula Builders in Newport News and McGraw-Hill (F.W. Dodge) in Richmond.

A certified check, payable to HRHA, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid MUST be submitted with each bid that exceeds $25,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for all Contracts over $25,000.00. Certified Payroll will be required.  

All clarifications regarding the specification and/or scope of work must be in writing a minimum of ten days prior to the bid opening and may be faxed to (757) 727-1768, Attn. Construction Department. HRHA shall not be responsible for missed transmissions.
 

CONSTRUCTION OFFICE INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Hampton Redevelopment & Housing Authority will accept sealed bids at the Construction Office ONLY, 811 West Pembroke, Hampton, Virginia, 23669 for the time specified below for the following; at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Proposed forms of contract documents are on file and maybe obtained at the Construction Office. Contact person is Karen Taylor 757 727-1521 ext 309.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid that exceeds $25,000.00.

Davis Bacon Certified Payroll may be required for jobs over $2,000.00.

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond(s) exceeding $100,000.00.

The HRHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. The public body may negotiate with the apparent lowest responsible bidder if all bids exceed available funds. The Authority will undertake negotiations under the conditions and procedures described in the Public and Indian Housing Programs, Instructions to Bidders for Contracts HUD 5369 Section 8 and its own written and approved Procurement Policy.
